Psalm 100:2 I will ponder the way that is blameless. Oh when will you come to me?
In order to lead a blameless life, we need God's help.
Psalm 100:3a I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless.This is a good reminder to be careful what we watch on TV, what we read, and the things on which we purposefully allow our eyes to linger. As much as we might like to thing otherwise, what we see affects our minds and hearts. We cannot be indifferent or even callous to the things we look at.
Psalm 102:18-22
Let this be recorded for a generation to come,
so that a people yet to be created may praise the Lord:
19 that he looked down from his holy height;
from heaven the Lord looked at the earth,
20 to hear the groans of the prisoners,
to set free those who were doomed to die,
21 that they may declare in Zion the name of the Lord,
and in Jerusalem his praise,
22 when peoples gather together,
and kingdoms, to worship the Lord.
V18 and 20 in particular bring the tragedy of abortion to mind. The womb should be the safest place for a child, and yet often it is instead a prison from death row, filled with infants doomed to die, instead of born to praise God. Due to all the undercover videos being released, this issue is gaining some attention, but it seems to be one nobody wants to hear the truth because the evil of abortion is so hauntingly obvious, and yet to see it is to be responsible to change it, and society does not want that. But the truth is we know. We can choose to ignore it, but we cannot say we did not know. Are we willing to speak the truth about this volatile topic?
The main point of Paul's letter to the Galatians was to answer the question - are we saved by what we do, or are we saved by what Christ has done for us? Clearly, the latter is the answer. But do we live as though it is?

Psalm 101:3a

anything that is worthless.
This verse also stood out to me. We need to be careful what we allow out minds to take in. This is difficult in the media driven world we live in, but needs to be constantly monitored.
Galatians 3:7
Know then that it is those of faith who are the sons of Abraham.
To me, this sums up the portion of scripture from the NT we read today. We need to believe in what we do not physically see, but know is there from all the evidence (both physical and spiritual)
25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, 26 for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.
We are God's family through our faith. Not under a guardian but children of a Father.
"he who walks in the way that is blameless shall minister to me." Psalm 101:6b
So often we are drawn to a favorite movie star, or tv actor, or a professional athlete. The problem is, their walk will not be blameless, and we need to be mindful of that. One of Kaden's favorite hockey players is experiencing the effects of being accused of something. This athlete has not been charged with anything at this point to my knowledge, but Kaden has been checking for updates to see if the charges are true or false. Either way, this verse reminded me to be mindful of what or who I allow myself to be ministed by.
