Monday, August 21st: Psalm 107-109; 1 Corinthians 4 ~ Kezia

Today's passage from the Bible In a Year Reading Plan is Psalm 107-109; 1 Corinthians 4

I love the way the writer explains in Psalm 107 that no distance is too far for the love of God to reach. It doesn't matter if you wander away from God, or get put in jail because of your rebellious actions, or spend your life drinking, when we call to God, He is there. No one is too "bad" for God to love.

"Whoever is wise, let him heed these things and consider the great love of the Lord." Psalm 107:43

Tomorrow's Bible In a Year Passage: Psalm 110-112; 1 Corinthians 5

1 Corinthians 4:5
So don’t make judgments about anyone ahead of time—before the Lord returns. For he will bring our darkest secrets to light and will reveal our private motives. Then God will give to each one whatever praise is due.

A good reminder and warning. A great motivator to clean up sin and ask for forgiveness.

The same thing stood out to me as I read Psalm 107. No matter the circumstances, when people finally came to the point that they cried to the Lord, He ALWAYS saved them from their distress.
