Saturday, August 19th: Psalms 103-104; 1 Corinthians 2 ~ Tammy

Today's passage from the Bible In a Year Reading Plan is Psalms 103-104; 1 Corinthians 2

Psalm 103:3-5
He forgives all your iniquity;
he heals all your diseases.
He redeems your life from the Pit;
he crowns you with faithful love and compassion.
He satisfies you with good things;
your youth is renewed like the eagle.

He forgives ALL our iniquity.

This grace is amazing.
It is limitless.
There is no sin it cannot cover.
The very idea that Jesus took our sin and gave us His righteousness is almost impossible for us to grasp.  And yet He did.

He redeemed my life from the pit.  And He doesn't stop there.  He crowns me with faithful love and compassion.  He satisfies me with good things.  He renews me.

This is amazing grace.

Tomorrow's Bible In a Year Passage:  Psalms 105-106; 1 Corinthians 3

Psalm 103:10
He has not dealt with us as our sins deserve
or repaid us according to our iniquities.

It is true that what God has done for us is amazing. It isn't a trade off, we aren't doing something for Him and He is repaying us, God is only doing this for us, we can't come close to repaying this awesome gift He offers us, and we're foolish if we don't accept it and live for Him.
