Tuesday, October 10: Isaiah 34-46; Colossians 2 ~ Jody

Today's passage from the Bible In a Year Reading Plan is:Isaiah 34-36; Colossians 2

"So then, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, being rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing with gratitude."  Colossians 2: 6-7

I found this verse so encouraging! It encompasses all we need to do as believers to stay in Christ. He is our truth and our roots! And one of the best ways to do this to to live a life of gratitude. And not just some gratitude - but "overflowing"! What would my prayer time - and life in general - look like if I practiced overflowing gratitude to God?

Taking the time to think of about and realize, what He's done for us, is something we should do more often, followed up by giving thanks.
