Sunday, November 12th: Jeremiah 51-52; Hebrews 9 ~ Emma

Today's passage from the Bible In a Year Reading Plan is Jeremiah 51-52; Hebrews 9

“So also Christ died once for all time, as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for Him.”  - Hebrews 9:28

I am so thankful that I do not have to follow all those many many rules and regulations that the Jews had to follow in the Old Testamnent. Even more than that though, I am so so thankful that Jesus became the ultimate sacrifice so that one day I can be with Him in Heaven. I am so looking forward to the day He will come back to get His people, and we will all be with Him forever.

Jeremiah 51:5
For Israel and Judah have not been forsaken
by their God, the Lord Almighty,
though their land is full of guilt
before the Holy One of Israel.

Just as the Israelites, we are also sinners, and God wants us to seek forgiveness from Him so that we can be made new again. He gives us that chance, we need to take it and seek forgiveness.
