Thursday, March 22nd: Joshua 16 - 18, Luke 7:36-50 ~ Nathan

Today's passage from the Bible In a Year Reading Plan is Joshua 16-18, Luke 7:36-50

What a great story told in our new testament reading today. Jesus went to eat at a Pharisee's house and came across a "woman of the city".

This woman obviously had a profession that we also think low of today. She had done a lot wrong and she obviously knew that nobody thought much of her, but she came to Jesus anyway and showed Jesus much respect by wiping Jesus' feet with her tears and anointing them with ointment.

Do we block out what others think and go directly to Jesus to honour and worship Him? Do we let criticism from others effect our worship of Him?

I can learn from this woman and what she did for Jesus.

Tomorrow's Bible In a Year Passage: Joshua 19-21, Luke 8:1-25

Do I worship Him without fear of what others may think?
